Carrie-Anne Moss, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the youngest of two children, was named after a hit Hollies song. At the age of 11, Moss was starring in children's musical theate, and during her senior year, she toured Europe with the school choir. After graduation, she set out on her own to become a model, meeting with almost immediate success. It wasn't long before she landed modeling jobs in Toronto, Japan, and then in Spain. By the age of 20, she had appeared in countless magazines around the world.
While modeling in Spain, she landed her first acting job with the late night series Dark Justice (1991) as Tara McDonald.
When the series moved to L.A., Moss refined her acting skills by appearing in several films and guesting on TV shows.
Her big break came in The Matrix, (1991) playing the wildly popular cyberwarrior Trinity. |
